How can we think well to be well
So let's get started in the business world. There's a big buzz word or a catch phrase that's used to describe the mindset of Highly Innovative and successful people. In fact, the world is called disruptive thinking in its most basic definition disruptive thinking it challenges the status quo by taking a problem a challenge or a threat and turning it into a Could be disruptive thinking results in radical change. So this is not just some kind of modification or Improvement and know this right here is complete transformation. For example, the largest Transport company in Indonesia. It doesn't actually own any cars. It's called grab and the taxi industry. this has now been completely transformed not only that but the largest hotel company in the world well, It doesn't actually own any hotels. It's called the indeed. That's right. The accommodation industry has also been completely transformed and lastly the largest religion in the world. Well, it isn't actually a religion. It's a relationship and it's called Christianity. That's right. Jesus is the most famous disruptive thinker of them all. So if you want to be an Innovative problems solver whether that be in your home in your Relationship in your business your school your church and your National or for the kingdom of God. Don't lean on your own conventional human wisdom rather put on the mind of Christ
since covid how have people actually coat in the world with these lockdowns? Well, the divorce rate in Wuhan spiked by 40% the drug and alcohol sales around the world have increased exponentially and in my country in Aurelia we've seen a 50% increase in domestic violence now, that's what I call a pandemic within a pandemic but that's how the world's worst. That is Christians. We should have this incredible opportunity to somehow disrupted disruption instead of thinking like the world things. We actually get to think like Jesus thinks if you're asking will who could possibly know the thoughts of the Lord will you know, like because the Apostle Paul?
He asked the same question and what's more he answered it in First Corinthians chapter 2 verse 14. He said well for who could know the Lord's thoughts who knows enough to teach him but we understand these things for we have the mind of Christ in this verse Paul is actually quoting Isaiah chapter 40 verse 13 asking a self answering questions like who on Earth know so much that they Can teach God a thing or two and of course the answer is well no one but because we have the Holy Spirit you and I
we have access to the mind of Christ and that right there is incredibly powerful. So let me ask you how powerful are your thoughts. Are you a disruptive thinker you and Innovative Problem Solver and I'm not just talking about inventions or innovation. I'm talking about thinking
Beyond convention in fact you ready for a quick quiz, see how you go answering this kind of look riddle a father and a son they were out driving in a car together one day when they got into a bad car accident. So two ambulances from nearby towns came and one ambulance took the father to One hospital and the other ambulance took the son to a different hospital. The doctor walked in and said I cannot operate on this boy because well, he's my My son
Question, who's the doctor?
It's simply a question designed to reveal how well are you thinking Beyond convention the doctor if you haven't worked it out is of course the child's mother. now if you weren't able to get the answer right away. Don't worry, you're not wrestling with some kind of subconscious or unconscious gender bias. It's just that when you're presented with certain information your lazy brain falls into patterns of Habitual perception. The doctor said I cannot operate on this boy because he is my son the simple mention of multiple male pronouns in a single sentence activates your brain to search for similar patterns in answer to the question. You see it's the way information is presented that can sometimes Get us stuck in our thinking the same is true in our relationships. Sometimes we get stuck in a rut where we find ourselves constantly arguing or bickering or we get annoyed by each other, especially if we've been living in close confines for such a long time, you might even feel disillusioned by the relationship all together and God forbid. If you go looking for love in all the wrong places, will there will be a breach of trust that will be incredibly difficult to repair but if you put on Mind of Christ and savings from a spiritual perspective. Well, you can overcome even the greatest of challenges think about mastering your mind like this
Studies have shown that everyone has the capacity to draw and now you might be thinking no way like I don't have an artistic bone in my body and okay, so well that might be true. It's not your bones or your body that matters when it comes to Art and Creativity what matters is what's going on in your mind if you were to sit down and to for example, draw a chair as your subject matter, well, it might end up looking something like this some kind of warped postmodern artistic impression of like what looks to be like a three-legged dog. That's it does rather than drawing what we see most people typically draw what they perceive a chair should look like in their mind.
As they put it down on paper. So now it doesn't come out the same but please know the solution here is not taking art classes rather to achieve a breakthrough. You need to shift your perspective. In other words. You need to turn things on their head. In fact quite literally if you want to turn the chair outside down before drawing it. Well now you would draw what you actually see simply because well you don't have a A mental representation or a perception of what an upside-down chair should look like so instead of being on autopilot. Your brain is now jolted out of its comfort zone and is elevated into a new operating level because the point Jesus came to turn the world upside down so that you could see clearly but you can see the reality of his love and accurately represent and duplicate that love towards one another so
If you have any problems in any of your relationships, what would it look like from God's is active. If you would have put on the mind of Christ, you might be able to see a way to disrupt and the disruption what god-breathed innovative solutions you come up with to repair the broken trust to, you know, take your relationship to the next level. Well problem solve it like this is one of the most important skills that you could ever. Develop Romans chapter 15 verses 5 to 6 says may the god of endurance and encouragement Grant you to live in such harmony with one another in accord with Christ Jesus that together you may with one voice glorified God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ with a problem-solving mindset. Not only can you build trust and cultivate Unity, but you also honor God and becomes so
Ahead and calls you as one of his own Matthew chapter 5 verse 9 says blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called the children of God. So let me say it again when it comes to relationships learning to be a disruptive thinker learning to repair restore and refuel your relationships. It's one of the most important skills that you could ever develop. In fact think of it like this. In Formula One racing car driving look some Races they take a pit stop to recover from the laps that they've just taken whereas other drivers pull over and take a pit stop to prepare for the laps that they're about to take. However, in order for a pit stop to be successful both Logistics and discipline of vital for the operational system to work.
In order to be inspired by effective disruptive thinking when you see it. However, the big question is well, how long does it take you to repair to restore and refuel your relationships? From the wear and tear that they experience on the racetrack of life. Well, the good news is that there are three spiritual keys that each and every one of us can Embrace in order to fast-track the repair restoration and refueling about relationships.
The first key is called relational maturity now is a disruptive thought to consider in his letter to the first century Church in Philippi the apostle Paul said not be selfish don't always try to impress others, but be humble think of others as being even better than yourself don't always just look out for your own interests, but also take an interest in others as well. You must have the same attitude or mindset that Christ. Jesus had now that right there is what maturity looks like it's unconventional because it goes against the grain of human nature. It's the opposite spirit that of this world. This is disruptive thinking so let's do a little self evaluation show in ask the question. Well, how mature is your relationship? And how do you even know? Well, let's take a quick look and immature person will always look for ways to complain but a mature person will always look for ways to contribute an immature person will always look for somebody else to complete them. You know, you complete me. But mature person will always look for someone to compliment an immature person will seek to with the argument at the expense of unity that a mature person will seek to sacrifice their desire to be right all the time in order to preserve and prioritize Unity is the mature relationships. They try and see things from a different perspective. In other words. They take the chair that they turn it upside down.
They want to see things as they are not just how they perceive them to be an understanding that problems in relationships. Look at more complex than what is typically presented at face value. Well there for mature couples they put in more effort to try and better understand one another not that might never ultimately understand the other but they put in the effort to try and being able to see things from another person's perspective. Well, Issues are constrained and offense is rare.
That's the first key, but the second key is maintaining the personal duty of being trustworthy. The quality of being trustworthy is as vital to relationships as breathing is to being alive being trustworthy means being reputable responsible and reliable. If you say you're gonna do something or be somewhere or fulfill something. Are you a person?
If your word or are you the kind of person that continually, you know reschedules or back or I forgot what makes excuses and justifies your lack of Integrity. Are you the person that fulfills your responsibilities in such a way that no one ever needs to second-guess your commitment to follow through or are you always having to be reminded prompted followed up with
1 Corinthians chapter 4 verse 2 says those Who have been given trust their required to prove themselves faithful now, this is really disruptive because we live in a day and age where making excuses justifications or blaming others. Like this is so much easier than taking personal responsibility. But once again, let me disrupt your thinking and ask you right now the hard question can other people wholly and completely depend on you and if they can the goodness
King Saud and he declares that look this Lead to Great fortune and it check it out Proverbs Chapter 30 verse 11 says for example that the heart of a husband who can fully trust his wife. Will he will lack no riches. I mean, it sounds pretty good to me. Right? So are you a man or a woman of your word? Can you put your money where your mouth is and if you say yeah sometimes but like that only a bit know a bit is not good enough you can't trade Made with that kind of currency can't trade with just a bit unless of course, it's Bitcoin.
When it comes to money just like the chair. I think the Americans went ahead and just turn it upside down because instead of putting their money where their mouth is. They put their words where their money is. That's that's why the one dollar bill says in God we trust but But why it doesn't say in husband's we trust but let me tell you in a Christian Kingdom currency. It should because we have access to the mind of Christ but beyond maturity and the personal responsibility that helps build trust when trust his kind of been eroded away over the course of a relationship. Well the fastest way to refuel restore and repair this trust is the most disruptive.
Just thought process of the pole and that is to extend the gift of forgiveness, even or especially when it's undeserved. You see forgiveness allows us to move forward without events without branches without the kind of resentment that would otherwise hinder our Race So when you're quick to forgive this is ultimately how fast you could refuel repair and restore your relationship back on track.
Was that guy in the foreground? He's like, yeah, like two seconds. That's the disruptive power of forgiveness. I started this message by saying Jesus. He was the biggest disruptor of the mole in the beginning was the word and the Word was with God and the Word was God, but then the word became flesh and dwelt Among Us that's right unto us a child was born unto us a son was given upon whose shoulders rests the government the whole world. The one whose name is called wonderful counselor. Mighty God Everlasting father Prince of Peace Jesus, he turned the whole world upside down when instead of riding into Jerusalem on a warhorse. He disrupted everyone's deception of what the Messiah would look like when he came riding in on a humble donkey and when the religious leaders tried to disrupt the people from praising Jesus will Jesus disrupted the disruption instead of fighting will he Just changed the whole game when he handed himself over to be the atonement for our sins. But the biggest destruction of all of course was that after he had died for the Forgiveness of our sins? Well, he didn't just stay dead three days later. He rose again. Now that would have been truly disruptive to the people that were around and now when we come to him,
Look, it doesn't matter where we've been over what we've done. He disrupts the enemy's plans for our life and he extends to us this same forgiveness that fast-tracks change the same forgiveness that we should be extending to one another in our relationships and as quick as it takes for a Formula 1 racing car to be repaired restored unrefueled anyone who places their trust in Jesus can be set back.
Finish the race strong this right here is unconventional and disruptive is disruptive thinking to make a decision to follow Jesus. But when you do you discover your problems get turned into opportunities and you become an agent of change a peacemaker who is called the child of God father God
